My heart skipped a beat when I first heard this the same way as so many, many, many decades ago in high school my reaction at assembly hall when the school Dance Band took my breath away. Jorg plays perfectly at a brisk very uptempo, that Jazz/Swing progression that never fails to raise the blood pressure of horn players. I could not resist. I added 0:04-1:05 and 1:38-2:11. There is a lot of open space.

Wonderful Ad Dan! You play in the lightness and elegance of swing. Yesterday had heard 2 hours swing in youtube. It seems to me that some young people love this music again. Maybe a renaissance will start in the next few years. +1

Itocpogo Thanks so much, Rene!!!! I appreciate it my friend!!! I am so delighted you listened to a lot of swing music!!! One advantage of getting old like me is you live through eras that embraced different music styles!!! Swing's most popular eras for playing and listening was the 1930-1940's and was also the popular music of record sales. Then rightfully so, Swing faded as Jazz became more"serious" followed by new young generations more political and hungered for communicating problems created by their parents generation and celebrating their way to happiness which created musical heroes from their generation that created Rock, and R&B and brought country music to global attention. All of this is GREAT music!!! It is Wonderful that young people are listening more to swing but swing all had a resurgence in 1989 with the Royal Crown Revue, the George Gee Orchestra, and Lavay Smith's Red Hot Skillet Lickers that inspired others like the The Brian Setzer Orchestra but it did not become the popular music of the day, but it had new elements of exciting rock elements in a swing mode. I feel the "living" conditions of young people determine what music genre is popular or created. The good news is there will always be young people that embrace older music genres and want tom play it. +0

abuitremorem I have just spent a week in Switzerland. In Poland, I found a young guitar teacher who should teach me jazz and I realize he lives in swing :) Will now make a WL break to learn new things. +0

Itocpogo Thanks!!! You played perfectly at this very fast speed!!! For me it is about staying in playing shape for challenging speeds like this and if make it sound a little Ok. If there are adds to just your bass track, I would Love to see how that affects my playing. Thank You so much for this Wonderful piece of Swing heaven!!! +1
