Wide Awake Club members in the Spotlight

Today, as it's the weekend I've decided to feature 2 artists, both are seriously into writing lyrics and one, is a very good vocal performer. So, I give you ..... Dash1 and..... Donnharper.

Dash started uploading in 2021 and then had time out - 2022 saw him back but we need more uploads now :) Just 16 uploads but over 23,000 plays - He does have a really good, very listenable voice in my opinion :)

We see an Australian flag, great to think we have wikiloopers from the Southern Hemisphere. Dash is probably a Country loving guy at heart but he's open minded and now the words have taken over from the guitar!
I want to pass on a plug for his Son who is in the band "By Default" because obviously Dash1 is a proud Dad :) as well as a proud doggie owner I believe

Now my second artist Donnharper is also a words person describing himself as "Mad poet, insane prophet, delusional visionary" (sounds like Shamika ?) Just 2 uploads but plenty of lyrics on the forum and comments. A US flag for Donnharper who is quite new to the site and we hope to hear more from this wiki-wacky member.

Thanks for the mention. Songwriting is very rewarding especially when we have so many talented artists giving our words life on this site. Donnharper would know the thrill of hearing people express themselves through your words making the story their own in a genre that fits their personal emotion. My two oldest sons are amazing songwriters and musicians. And of cause my Boerboel Mastiff Phoenix. Tough, loving and very protective of the family.

I've had a look at the lyrics of both dash1 and Donnharper. I saw some impressive things... writing lyrics is something I really struggle with, so quite amazing how easy they make it seem :D

It can be easy if you have the story in mine. I had a conversation with a friend who struggles with agoraphobia. As she explained her situation with crowds and socialising , I started putting the story to a melody in my head. The end result is ‘Firefly’. Sung with such feel and emotion accompanied by an amazing acoustic.

I found a recording of Firefly that dash1 mentioned which was turned into a song by 2 wikiloop friends :)

It's Monday and we start the Wide Awake Club week with the carer of this adorable pussy cat

If you don't know already I'll give more info.

Today the member I'm featuring is more of a 'behind the scenes' person, someone who is part of the WL support team.
You won't find any recent music uploads although this person has worked with several bands here.
The instrument of choice is a Bass, fretless and upright... quite nice ones I think.
The flag is German.
This person runs a Weblog where you can find some beautiful examples of photography, music features, lots of advice and observations on software and "thoughts"
This is a very helpful and kind person and the biggest clue is that daily good morning in the Shoutbox.

Wolfgang's been a great help. His tips and hints on recording, software and everything else have been great. Plus there are some beautiful tracks he's recorded.
