thanks there's some pre eq applied followed by a touch of vocal exciter (Aphex type C)and on top of that another subtle eq and a tiny amount of compression ... the vox is also sent in the rev bus (-4db)

a typical way to deal with reverb in a mix is to do it through a bus ... a channel dedicated to reverb receiving all sends from tracks ... this way you have a common rev to every track : more cohesion and definitely a "togetherness" feel in the end ... needless to say it's also very handy to perform all kinds of eq on the rev bus if its an isolated chan

So basically it adds a little reverb to all the different instruments together - so they have the same feel?

basically thats the idea ... so roughly they're all bind together in the same space ... it doesnt mean a single track couldnt receive another type of rev as well ...

That is great information, I am working on a track with a singer, and this type of reverb thing was mentioned - but I haven't tried it out yet - thanks for the info, now I know more
