An die Natur

Natur! Dein linder Regen fällt
auf Ungerechte wie Gerechte,
und Deine Eine Sonne hellt
das Herz der Herren wie der Knechte.

Du birgst in Deinen Bergen Raum:
da kann ich all mein Weh verstecken;
und in den Tälern blüht mein Traum,
gleich wild verwachsenen Rosenhecken.

Die Nacht beglänzt Dein Sternenschein:
da darf ich weit in Wäldern gehen
