Dear FrankieJ, a wonderful song that inspired me to plays to, not totally minimalistic as usual. But one request: I noticed that you did not use a metronome here. This means a lot of work for me to fit in, and as you can here I missed it at least 3three times. Since I do not punch in but always play the whole song for the sake of feel, it would mean a long go to get a perfect fitting bassline ...

It's a good idea to play with those of us who never use a click track. Not everything is metronomic. Having the music "breathe" with changes in tempo and pauses is another useful and communicative dimension to music. Can you imagine Chopin playing with a metronome? Your playing is beautiful in this and compliments Frankie's beautiful piece well. +1

JMB65 Yes, I know about the agogic concept of classic music. It is still problematic when working together via digital processes. I experienced studio work that was a desaster when working track by track (what is happening here) and using the agogic concept. Since the track played agogic will not breathe any more - it stays problematic. I can do my best to breathe to a "dead" track not any longer breathing. It is fine for itself, but to adapt - is quite problematic.
That is no argument against agogic music - you are completely right: Chopin, Bach and so on pressed into a metronome can completely miss the music in it. <3

titi A sense of rhythm and cadence are the essential essence of music for me. It's about the flow and the arrangement of notes that fall upon it. A few notes are enough to make beautiful music when they land at a precise moment. Personally, I've worked extensively on my internal pulse for years, and thanks to that, I trust it. Like a cat that always lands on its feet. This is just my personal experience. The metronome is in my feet, my heart, my head. In my opinion, your performance was perfect. +2

JMB65 Thanks for your thoughts. It is to hear that you worked on time a lot. Some blessed talents do not need to, but for me I had to work really hard too.
There is no need for a discussion - as far as I see. It was just much more intense for me on the work side. Anyway: FrankiJ is free after as he was before. And I look forward to accompany him furthermore anyway. :)
