Thank you very much, Wade. :) The Shakuhachi player can make very pure and clear notes or notes where the blown effect brings out the characteristic of bamboo. It is this way of resonating with the bamboo that I like. And all the better for me, making very pure notes requires a mastery that I do not have and whose effect interests me much less. ;)

Yes, I understand as I used to play Shakuhachi and made one many years ago. Unfortunately while giving it a sanding to smooth out a section a "splinter" came off a tone hole and went through the palm of my hand. Had to have it surgically removed! Kind of dented my enthusiasm, yet I still love the sound of the masters.
