Wade As a kid from California I went to live for a while at my Grandmother's farm just outside of Nashville. The weekend the community went to the hall for live music and square dancing. That was 100% authentic and great fun. 50+ years later I visited my cousins and they took me to one of those big barns to hear what Nashville country music was like. It was AWFUL! I asked if there was anywhere where traditional music was still played like bluegrass. They did some research and found that there was one bar in an industrial district. We went there. the place was empty except for those who were playing or waiting to play. The music was wonderful, but we were the only non musician audience they had. Very sad and a testament to the power of that music industry to promote the crap they sell while real music is ignored.
