Having read your wishes I didn't add anything, but I remastered your track. See if you like this mix better.

This is wonderful baronfum, a real improvement, thank you, it was good to get such a professional sound :) +0

baronfum I use Cakewalk from Bandcamp as my DAW (it's a free download). I copied the raw track I downloaded and used a plug in called VC-64 (Vintage Channel 64) and applied a preset filter labeled as "Breathing Vox" to one copy then mixed the modified track back in with the original, bouncing the two tracks down to one track. I applied a filter labeled "Master Mix" to that bounced track and sent it to export as a .wav file (as opposed to the .mp3 version). It cleared up your vocals and gave a bit more definition to the backing track. The vocals are still dominant in front but it's a vocal song, so they should be. Glad to be of assistance. :) +0

Shamika Wow, I didn't realise you had to do so much but it was definitely worth it, thank you <3 +0

baronfum Nah, it wasn't really that much, it goes pretty quick with the right software (which I've had for quite a while). I tried a couple different vocal filters and decided that "Breathing Vox" fixed the issue the best (took maybe five minutes) most of the rest was point and click. At first I downloaded it to add a little mandolin, but then I read your note that said the song was already complete and you just needed a little help with mastering and I said to myself, "Oh! Well, I can do THAT!" and then it took 15-20 minutes to clear it up. It was my pleasure. I like your vocal work. :) +1

Shamika I don't have much equipment these days so the finished songs I upload can be up to 10 years old. Normally at wikiloops I will just add a vocal to a template. :) +1

baronfum My studio is my laptop with a sound interface plugged in, a midi controller, a very new condenser mic, and a very small amp for a monitor when I'm not using headphones. The rest is free software. Oh, yeah, and I tend to collect instruments. :) +0
