Sounding good, but needs bass and drums a lot more than sax! And what's wrong with Ab? Big smiles for your playing...as always!

I thought Ab was harder to play in for sax players ,is that not the case then ? It’s no good for blues harp players as diatonic harmonicas aren’t readily available that can play in that key.Glad you enjoyed the playing Wade :)

I know nothing about harmonicas, but sax is a chromatic instrument. You need to get used to playing in any key. Form early on if one jams with guitarists they often play in E, which is F# on a tenor or soprano, and C# on baritone, alto or sopranino. C# is especially tricky, but you either learn to play or wind up sitting out on a lot of jams. It's the keys that the instruments in Concert pitch don't like to play that are difficult because we don't get as much practice playing them.

Thanks for explaining Wade. The great thing ( which might be considered the worse thing!) about most keyboards these days is that they usually have a transpose function which then allows you to play in any key you’re comfortable .Does make you lazy though and not practice playing in keys you don’t like !

An early version of that was made for Irving Berlin. He could only play in F#, but needed to put his songs in keys that singers could more easily sing. His piano had a leaver that would shift the keys across the "harp" thus changing key, but allowing him to play in his one playable key. https://music.si.edu/object-day/irving-berlins-transposing-upright-piano
