We had a soft rain that lasted 2 days, which almost never happens here. This started off as a bossa piece, I'm never quite sure how they will end up.

Not sure where you are, but one of my most cherished memories is from summer rain in southern Arizona when the creosote bushes are blooming. The most heavenly smell on earth!

That's where I live! Yes there's nothing quite like the smell of the creosote permeating the air when the first rains of summer fall.

So glad to be conversing with someone who knows. The word creosote makes most people think of the stinky wood preservative. Those summer storms are amazing, the flash floods, lightning etc. One would think "how can it rain like this and this be a desert"?
