Me too. Not my skill set (though I think Fela Kuti, for instance, did his own keyboard solos which had characteristic fluffs and bum notes that added charm)

Ha, Wade. I do listen to a lot of this. But not enough to know what style of horn section fits with what African musical genre, so I'm conscious what I play is counterfeit

Listen to "palm wine" bands and you'll hear something similar. Also South African bands like horn sections behind.
