Dont fight. Bass and Clav and Kick drum all have the same desire to rule 80hz AND 120hz
So run an eq on the track with clav and drums, and boost (not much) 80 and 100hz.
On the bass , CUT (not much) the 80 and
100. This makes a phase difference and all can happily live together. +0

But low frequencies are an enemy. Im very compact now in my recording plugins.
I have a console plugin to emulate a professional Neve console. This makes the instruments big and bold and clear like you hear. Second a good EQ where I trim the same frequencies usually. Third , a compressor to blend and smooth it all together, Thats it. I have about 80 plugins I dont really need. EQ is essential for "clean up". If you ever are interested in a particular one , I can probably either send it to you with a license or if not, recommend a great one. Im now strictly WAVES plugins.
Oh and a tape saturation to inject the recording with warmth and fullness +0
