:)Hey Itocpogo thanks for the music and your nice comment! I moved to Munich in 1985 for two years because that was where the best BoBob scene in Germany was located. As a graduate of the Munich Bass Institute, I played a lot with a drummer there. His name is Sunk Pöschl. I remember that I always thought he didn't like me because he only played "against me". Never with me I NEVER knew where the "1" was. Since then I have loved music that nobody really wants to hear:o:W

Thanks for sharing this!!!! In the 1970's I entered a Jazz radio contest in NYC and the first time I played with a not just a professional jazz rhythm section but the "elite" young jazz stars of that era. The drummer was Thelonious Monk's son, T.S. Monk. I was playing just a blues but when that rhythm section started.... I was Lost!!!!!!! Forget about finding "1", I couldn't find 2,3,4 either!!!! I abandoned my playing "plan" and just tried to survive which I did not... and it "shook" me up. I found that "elite" Jazz/Bop players do not try to "help" you, they expect you to be able to handle it even if it was just a friendly jam. Since then I tried to get better and better but the bottom line was to get to their level I had to quit my day job and just practice all the time. I LOVE playing but I also realized I could not pay the bills playing as my main job.

I see you know what I meant :)! Saxophonists have a hard time. Someone I played with a lot was an absolutely pale-faced anemic. He probably never had contact with the sun. He had built a kind of phone booth for practicing sax and actually spent his entire childhood in this one square meter. :D:W
