pber it's strange I'm faster with the Fender, which has strings far one from each other. The fretless has strings very tied and I miss speed.

hartmut has the Fender a lower fretboard radius then the fretless?
a nice 12" radius in my case (but guitar no bass) let's me so play so more fast.
don't know if this can be compared to be bass instruments - i am a noob on bass instruments ;) +0

pber I don't know, they are similar. But it's not the radius, the two fingers of my right hand simply can't do the same things, because there is no enough room between two strings.
Now that I have solved the problem of action I have moved to fretless all my practicing. +1
