nuno1959 yes it is, i was never very agile w/ my fingers so i always play with a large, 1.5mm thick plek ! :(
but slowly, i'm working at it to play w/ my fingers !
at the end of the day i think the ideal is to be able to do both since each technique allows to get different sounds +0
