Cloistered in pink light
And linen,
The candle dancing
In your eyes,
The vased carnation
Gazing at you
Mesmerized;
May I
Weave my palm
Into yours,
And let the music
Seduce us to the floor...

While we waltz between
Lillet and Chardonnay
Our limbs not knowing
Where to go,
And your cheeks,
Whispering next to mine;
May I
Sip your cigarette,
It's long slender body
Tapered toward your fingertips,
The opaque whorls
Embracing your face;
As the cool heat
Parts your lips,
May I
Steal its breath
Away...
