Had this earmarked when it was just Oli's template and always felt there was a bit of a Latin lilt to it. Although it's nice 'n' funky, I wanted the backbeat the track needs but a gentle latin theme in the drums too. I did this using the kick to largely follow ...

After listening to them both back to back, I totally hear what your talking about. The Samba you use has less of a "triplet feel" than my shuffle. Nevertheless, I think our parts sound quite similar in many respects, and I like listening to both of them;)
