I know what it's like to join an established site like wikiloops where everyone seems to know what to do, where to go and how to find jamming partners.
As a newbie, you may be already highlighted and 'front page' featured when you start to upload or remix tracks which is a start. You may have already got some encouraging feedback. I just want to involve you a little more by adding you to my 'meet, greet and review blog'
If you want to be featured just message me or leave a comment on the blog. I can also add my reviews to this thread if you wish :) - Cheers, Sham :W

I have started looking at newbies and I've done a couple of reviews, Jeff260922 and Bodine - I'm not sure if these have been seen by those newbies yet. I'll keep looking for members who could be (or would like to be) featured.
I just wanted to say something I've noticed about new musicians coming to the Loops.
There is a temptation for some newcomers to put out a completed track, all their own work.
I understand this, many of us want to show what we can do and get a good reaction back.
However, the central idea of wikiloops is to be part of something bigger than a 'one person band' It's a sharing, collaborative, jamming experience that you should be going for..... that's why this site is different from those corporate music giants :W
It is sufficient to lay down a short 'idea' template so others can build on it... a single drum track, a bass or guitar loop. I realise you may feel vulnerable at first, but people are often looking for simple loops to remix.. When the basics are in place, that's when our lead instruments and vocals usually come in. But the result won't be just one mix, one finished song, it can be many versions and adaptations of that first small idea, your idea :)
Another important part of wikiloops is to listen, make yourself familiar with what others are doing... and then put yourself out there... be observant, be friendly, don't be afraid to ask for advice.... and thank your listeners and commenters, that way you will soon fit in and discover the fun you can have with your peers.
Thanks, Sham <3

I support wikiloops because it's a great way for musicians around the world to share ideas and not have their egos kill each other. Thanks.
