Thursday the whatever...

I'm losing track of the days and dates lately because suddenly it's all moving forward so quickly. When you're much younger life goes slowly because you always seem to be waiting for the next thing to happen, birthdays, Christmas, days out. I don't get excited about birthdays and Christmas now, and although today I had a visit to a Country park planned, when it came to it I couldn't be bothered.... so I came to wikiloops instead :o

There are days, like today, when I wish I was more like some of the fictional characters I write about. I guess that's the beauty of writing, you can live vicariously, inhabit the persona of anyone you know or you can dream up.

You can be bad, sad, mad, scantily clad, rad, a young girl or an old Grandad :D
You can go to Chad or Islamabad, be an Angel or a cad.
You can sit beside a lilypad feeling glad as you pluck your Strad.
You can grab a trad fad and enjoy just a tad of getting away from the person you don't want to be today :(

No more to add <3

@TeeGee - about my 10,000 steps, and that the cat probably did double of that... have you seen the current breakaway leader in the Tour de Nap?

Tuesday 29 July.

I can't believe July is coming to an end, I've done nothing special and been nowhere this month, writing has been occupying most free time. I may have said before but I'm working on a very long story/book and I'm doing it in rhyme so it's not easy. It's a fantasy/dream experience of a girl in a coma. I have actually taken parts of it and made songs out of them, I must upload one sometime.

I was going through my 'spoken word' sketches today where I narrate different characters. I uploaded some clips just now. However as wikiloops has many members for whome English is a second language, I can imagine how weird they must sound :o

I have a habit of losing things around the home and this morning I was moving some stuff from the office to re-shelve it. Later in the day I can't find some plastic drawers full of papers. It's not small ( 12 inches square) and it's quite heavy so where could it be? I have even started looking under beds, in the fridge, and even in the garden, I'm starting to think there is a secret stationery thief who climbs in windows and steals things just to annoy me. I hate losing stuff. I don't actually lose a lot, but I misplace stuff because I am doing 10 things at once. Then I look for it, panic, hyperventilate, start looking everywhere, if possible blame Mrs. Gee, start a fight with her because she denies EVERYTHING (even when caught red handed), then calm myself and say: think think think you old b***** where did you put it??? Then I trace back my steps and most of the time I find it.

But, one of the greatest things that cause me stress is if I don't find my wallet or my keys. So that's why I fitted Chipolo one point tags to our keys and wallets, plus some other things I really don't want to lose :)
