Sunday 7th September.
I will try to see the 'Blood Moon' in the next hour, apparently I must look East, not sure where that is.
I noticed that a couple of loopers have uploaded songs for the eclipse, it's a good topic for music, especially Ambient music. I have many tracks featuring Sun, Moon, Stars, Sky, Night and natural events like Earthquakes, floods, hurricanes etc. They are mostly instrumental, atmospheric mixes can sometimes be spoilt by adding vocals... instruments are much more effective, they speak for themselves.

Just picked up my new mixing desk. Will probably take me days to set everything up. Guy who I bought it from gave me an extra discount after we swapped stories only to find out that 30 years ago we put down some tracks in the same recording studio and were friends with the producer. Small world.

Monday 8th September.
It was a lovely day today, the temperature was just right, a very light breeze and a blue sky full of interesting, fluffy white clouds.
I took a long walk around the cemetery (close to my house) I saw many birds pecking at the ground but only 4 people. Two older guys sat talking to a younger guy next to his big motorbike, he was going into technical details about it, obviously very proud. The 4th person was an older lady putting a windmill on a grave in the children's area, probably her grandchild, so that was sad.
But generally graveyards are not sad places, they are safe, quiet places to walk or jog. I often see school children cutting through there on the way home, they are always chatting, laughing and listening to music. I saw a Dad taking his son to his first day at school, the lad was loaded down with a big new rucksack, clutching a toy, he looked a bit hesitant but I bet his Dad was just as nervous.

Tuesday 9th September.
I went to veiw a house for sale in a lovely town called Newark-on-Trent today. The whole Town centre was traffic free, there's a beautiful castle, river, marina, market square and some lovely shops... so full marks for the place. The house was also lovely, ticked all my boxes. Unfortunately I never got to view the upstairs because I was too scared to use the stairs, they were practically vertical, like a ladder, I took 2 steps up and realised I couldn't live like that, it was a deal breaker. Oddly enough, when I think back, this has been a problem at about 4 previous house viewings. When the agent says the house has "character" it usually means it has 'dodgy' stairs. Ideally I'd like a huge, sweeping staircase with a galleried landing.... like something in Buckingham Palace.

Slowly building a new routine at home. Funny thing, now that my mother is gone, my dad is starting to take an interest in what I do on Wikiloops and in recording in general. He`s even urging me on to integrate the new mixer into my setup. Before it was more along the lines of "Do whatever you need to do...but keep the noise down"

Anyway, been surfing through the WL archives lately, there`s tons of great stuff here. Sometimes I wonder if it wouldn`t be even more satisfying to collaborate more instead of sequentially adding something to existing tracks.

Questions to myself: When Shamika moves into Buck Palace, will I get an invite and a tour and has anyone got the courage to tell her about the invention of stairlifts?

I really like reading your posts MySounds, I'm glad you are back with us after that hectic few weeks and sad happenings.
Re the "Stairlift" suggestion :) not only were the stairs steep, they were narrow too so I can't imagine two removal men trying to get a bed and wardrobe up them.... and yes, I do know IKEA make furniture in unassembled sections :D :(
I realised today that I may have a split personality after uploading 2 remixes at either end of the musical spectrum... one was a sweet, nostalgic song about Nature, the other was a dark and menacing mix with a poem about suicide and reverse psychology.... doh!

Good day. I have been playing tag, kicking a ball, and watching cartoons on TV. I also ate candy because it's Saturday. A child my age should get candy at least once a week.
So I've been doing all kinds of normal things that a kid my age is supposed to do 😁

I also managed to read Geezer Butler's autobiography. I liked it, although it has been censored far too much.

Back last night from my 2 week holiday, straight back at work this morning. Approx. 400 emails in the inbox, I deleted the relative few spam (my filter and blacklist works quite good actually), organised and read a few, now down to 70. Not bad...

My car started without a problem, the house was still standing, roof is still there, no burst water pipes, no break ins, brilliant

My 3 apple trees have shed a sizzload of apples on to the floor in these 2 weeks, they are doing this to annoy me :O

Other than that, weather is lousy. Better diary entries are sure to come ;)

God is showing humor by letting me drive a bicycle with motor: when I was a child I think the rule was (at least for most of my peers): return home when it's darkening.
Today, nearly adult, I have to return at least when my battery gets empty. Same concept, different implementation?

I'm going to practice with a band tomorrow just for fun. I don't know all the band members, so I'm really nervous because I was supposed to learn four songs, but I haven't memorized them.
I was surprised at how much harder it is to learn songs made by others. I can learn my own songs really quickly, but it's much harder the other way around. Well, I still have tomorrow morning to learn them.

It can be if you know where to look, sadly, beauty is just a dream for many people.

Tuesday 16th September.
The leaves are rapidly falling now, enough to be kicked in fact and that's something I like to do. The colours of Autumn are starting to appear, warm shades of brown and orange and gold <3

I wish my parents hadn't got rid of my piano when they thought I had lost interest, they needed the space. Years later I bought a keyboard but it's not the same :( I don't play that well but I used to love twiddling about, making up tunes and experimenting with chords. I don't have the space now but I dream of a large room big enough for a Baby Grand in the corner, it would be so relaxing to 'twiddle' today :)

At WL you never know what people are going to like, sometimes it's quite a surprise to get a compliment from someone you don't know when you try a different style or genre.

I'm looking for a lyrical/vocal challenge at the moment, I never have a plan, let's just see what turns up :)

I know the video sounds terrible, but that's not the point. I had a good day and that's the point I want to share with you. :)

This was my first time practicing with a band.

Well, I admit I've taken two band lessons before this, but those don't count.

A song and vocal for this beautiful track by Rob and Frankie would be fitting for your post and the seasons ahead. :)

Thanks for that idea, I checked it out but it's hard to sing over a lovely lead instrument for me. :)

I just realised that the subject I write songs about most is trees, woods and forests.
