The Second Coming (WB Yeats)
Il n'y a pas encore de remix de cette session !
This is a poem by WB Yeats, written 100 years ago but I think it has immense contemporary relevance. Anyway, I'm off work with man flu, and had nothing better to do. Yeats died in 1939, so his work is safely in the public domain. I only changed one word. Glorious piano by Peixe and thanks to schwaglr & Dannyk.

Thanks, AKchen. It's a shame Bertolt Brecht's work isn't out of copyright. There's a man in need of a Scottish interpretation.

Thanks, schwaglr. I was very glad of your rich and steady drumming. Between the complex timing structure of the poem and a piano which, if I'm not mistaken, was borderline "jazz", I was a bit out of my depth at times.

Thanks, Danny. I had a go at this a week ago, but wasn't happy with it. There's some fantastic, pop-friendly lines in the poem, but a lot of it isn't exactly easy to sing. If you hadn't posted the remix, I'd have forgotten about it. There's a lot of very beautiful poetry coming into the public domain and I think Wikiloops is a good way of keeping them alive. Also, I'm a cook, but I cook for lawyers, some of whom are international copyright specialists. I'll see if I can get some definitive advice for Dick.
