Yes - mosttimes i compress my bass for a fater tone - here and there i compress it twice for making everythig audible that is making noises on the strings (OK - therefor you need a noisegate too ;)) I don`t dial in Gain for getting an aggressive tone but i use all kinds of overdrive stuff ;)

Yeah I'm too not a fun of much gain. Due to that noise and sand it gives along. Noise gaite i use a lot. Have you tried OD like guitar use. Volume all way up gain down to tighten the drive sound. Q? Does it work. Try now Lo F Djents. String is so lose, cant hear s* just a woof :D

5 bucks for all I got from this site is nothing...I'm just an oldie (51) begineer guitar player and these backtrack are very very useful for my improvement. Thanks and Happy Christmas from Italy
