I'd just poured a glass of wine and this lovely template turned up from Cody in my feed. The wine can darn well wait, so off I went.
Went for a ballad approach, trying to play a spartan but interesting hi-hat in the verses rather than ploughing through with a constant ticking on it, moving into a more normal ballad in the louder sections. Need to find a decent reverb patch - I spent ages arguing with the built-in Cockos reverb ...
