Unnecessarily Busy!
Added a funky-ish back beat. Sorry about the quiet section towards the end - forgot it was coming and fell over myself a bit. Ran out of time for another take. Enjoy.

Listened a few times to it now and you're right. Sadly I'm mixing on in-ear headhones and, as the track's progressed, you're absolutely right. I didn't want to drown out the original riff. I need some proper studio monitors :(

Thanks, Marceys. Really nice riff to play around with :-D. Here's hoping someone will drop a slab of bass on it now!

Yeah that would give the track the boost it still needs! I'm sure there is a bassplayer who will like this! :)

Thank you, OliVBee. The kit's a Yamaha 9000 with a vintage Ludwig snare - it sounds good by itself and I just point the mics at it!
An engineer friend told me that to get 100% out the mics you have to put 120% in! Although it doesn't sound it, I'm belting the daylights out of the kit. +2
