This one is difficult. comes together, then doesn't. The mushy attack of the English horn is difficult with a track that's otherwise "snappy". +1

PaulM44 I hadn’t considered it that way horn-wise, but perhaps a trumpeting by Bradford would attack better. I am afraid my concept of “attack” is a bit mushy—I will see if I can study what it means and how to correct it. I considered the horn a contrasting softer element allowing the guitar and piano to be the attack. +1

Wade I like the way you think the trumpet would work, and soft contrast. When you consider that the way Bradford uses it, it's almost always "muted" so it's a soft sound, but has a strong "attack". If playing an English horn (I used to play it and oboe in an orchestra), you can have a strong attack. It's just the programs for keyboards tend to have slow soft attacks that lack a rhythmic crispness and mean that when you hit the key the presence of the sound isn't herd until 1/4 to 1/2 second later. The "attack" is slow and mushy. No problem in this working in a slow rhythmically vague ambient track, but where you have a strong or crisp beat the slow/mushy attack is always off from the rhythm.

I really hope this helps.

PaulM44 Thanks for the explanation Wade. Part of the problem is that I haven't been used to having this as part of my consideration about what constitutes a finalized add. I assumed the instrument was what it was and you have to accept and work with it. I got rid of Lagato, so thought that was the problem solved--I will have to educate my ear now for this--learning, learning. Thanks again. +1

PaulM44 I figure on a scale of 1-10 musically, I am about a 6, so have much more to learn. I feel lucky to be allowed on here to learn from so many amazingly talented. +1
