The first version turned out to be a bit risky. Nobody's perfect.😂Here's a remix, because I love this song. I hope I've done it well.🙏🏼🙏🏼

I'm getting a clearer picture of the poly rhythmic ideas you're using in this. The key center shifts without a regular pattern, so this makes it difficult to follow (not like a blues or other standard forms). It's a tough nut. I'm not helping by using many dissonances and 1/4 tones. In other words it's nearly impossible to fit with what I'm doing as there is no recognizable pattern, yet there was a fit with the drum and bass... and odd one for sure! I think what you played was valid and the test is to remove me and just play it with the bass and drum track and see how that sounds or give it a whole new interpretation based on the potential of what you hear in Mario's chord structure and timing. +1

BluesyLucille Hello Wade, regarding the two attempts I made, you are absolutely right. I tried removing your track, but that doesn't work either. Glez's track comes through louder, and that's not good. So I'm going to delete my two mixes and start over from scratch. I won't send anything else until I'm sure it's right. My apologies.
Best regards,

Wade There is never anything to apologise for. We all just react and play in our own way and often very differently each time. I'm just saying that this one becomes very difficult because of my add. The timing, tuning, dissonances and overall unpredictable chord changes mean that it barely works with just Mario's and my playing against the drums. If you play with Mario and me then it's pretty close to impossible to make that work as an improvisation. However if you're just playing with Mario you've at least limited one of the most difficult variables. You then just have his changes to contend with, and not my often dissonant utterances.

I'm almost not playing with Mario, I'm in his frame of chordal and rhythmic references, but really playing Against Them. Tunes (like the blues) that have standard chords and structure you can hear and understand where everything is going. In this one it's not possible, and even still difficult if you eliminate me, but maybe worth a try? It's totally different to any type of standard song/tune. The only reason I'm able to do this is because I've played with Mario live and possibly as many as 100 of is tracks. I understand his quirks and can anticipate. Without that how does one fit?
