warbird1228 it was a cake my wife baked for my son for his birthday tomorrow we always back a small cake we have a vanilla & chocolate ice cream cake for tomorrow with pizza Hawaiian shaved ice and music i got last years a led duel 15 inch speaker PA system the speakers show flames really cool +1

Wade Good idea and totally valid IMHO. It can just be how we feel and react to music on different days and in different moods. Bringing that to a track can certainly influence the way it's heard and even change our reaction to it. In my opinion it's best when driven by what we feel and hear rather than a conceptual idea that's forced on to the music. +1

Major 3rd Well said Wade and I totally agree...Not always but most often my best take is the first one...a pure emotional reaction rather than over thinking...getting the right tone is another matter with guitar..distortion? no distortion, efx no efx or which ones...lol you worded that last part with excellence "In my opinion it's best when driven by what we feel and hear rather than a conceptual idea that's forced on to the music." Wade Like you my first take is often the best. However I'm too lazy to listen to the track first and usually bring up a track (it's just a number) and hit record without listening first. Sometimes it works, other times I've got to re-record the beginning, if not the whole thing. Intersting exercise, not necessirly recommended unless you're as pig headed about time as I am. +0
