I've been very distressed by the fires in Los Angeles. I lived in Southern California most of my life until we moved to Florida to take care of my partners mother. Seeing the horrific damage on television is very depressing.

Like you I lived in LA. A house my parents bought (in escrow) burned in a fire before the escrow closed. I remember a fire that jumped across the 405 from one side of the Santa Monica mountains to the other. Lots of places I recall as a kid now gone. +0

Wade Since I grew up there it was just always something potentially happening... like earthquakes. Went through more than a few of those too! Here in New Zealand (in my area) we only have volcanos that can trash everything. Swimming to Australia isn't an option. We live in a dynamic world and often think we’re in control. Ha! +2
