Ahh, I'm sure the right blues mood is already on its way to you my friend! I don't really have a preference, for me everything has the same justification! Whether soft and smooth or wild and stirring. Or jazzed up, that's great too. Whether you like something or not is always very personal, sometimes depending on your own mood.
Trash metal? Seems a long way to the blues to me.
Metal is also something for me from time to time, although I'm very picky about it, but I couldn't say or describe what I like and what I don't like. It just has to fit somehow.
