Wikiloops got me excited about bass. Before this, I had only played rarely, now I play every day. This is like a diary where I can track have i learned anything.

i should practice a lot more. I love playing the bass, but other hobbies also take time. I go to the gym sometimes, I try to learn the basics of Japanese, I write stories sometimes and half a year ago I started escrima. So there's plenty to do 🙂

STICK FIGHTING!I've studied escrima/ Arnis for years.....I love the sticks....it's great to get some music going like this right here and do some flows and combinations...just keep it moving and step with it moving around and rotating directions...circles , step back then forward..random changes to footwork as if a combatant is moving in then backing up...defense offense.....chucks are like that too...

We have half of the training with sticks and half without weapons. Of course, those at a higher level also train with knives.
A few times a year, the main trainer from English comes to lead seminars, otherwise we have a small Sports Club that has just started active activities.

as you probably know empty hand, knife, sticks, chucks, katana etc are all connected....extensions of the hand arm...etc..keep up the training!! Block is punch, punch is block...

At first using sticks has been really difficult, I can't read distances at all. I'm always too close to my opponent. It has been a bit easier with my fists, although I already knew the basics of hitting. I admit, though, that I'm not good at punching with fists either.
This is not a popular sport in Finland, but I wouldn't be surprised if it would get more people to practice in our city. This is different from other popular martial arts here, such as bjj, kickboxing, judo, krav maga... It might fascinate people. +2

Thank you! I never play bass in to Rootshell´s songs unless I come up with a good idea.
