Added my lead line... ¿guitar or bass?... The sound from Squier P bass Mini Precision but with strings with smaller gauge strings 024, .034, .044, .056 and equalized like an almost "jazz guitar 4 strings, a peculiar sound... I hope you like it! The same instrument makes the bass through MIDI and then the lead through its magnetic pickup ;) Thanks to Peter for your fantastic drums track 🙏

Great Jazz guitar sound. Enjoyable mix.

4-strings ! I've gone to 8-strings. All interesting. Alternate tunings for Guitar proliferate. Been exploring upside down part standard tuning as if Hendrix, but right handed. Amazing for funk rhythm. And then tuned all forths, all fifths make for amazing sound. Your idea is tempting to try. Great tone.

GlezBass Many thanks ulfberth! I'm not a great expert in guitars and tunings, but I like to experiment things!!! I bought this mini scale bass to use it as a midi trigger for double bass sounds and maintain the conventional tuning of an E A D G bass, since I play a lot of 4 and 5 string electric bass. This experiment is the sound using the higher gauge strings for a bass, but in the position of the strings at 3,4,5 and 6 of a conventional guitar and it sounds with a clear jazzy tone due to its higher gauge compared to a conventional guitar ;) +0

GlezBass #292402 There you can see a photo of the mini bass and its sound result as a midi trigger, it is really more how the notes are played on the fretboard than the sound that is a VST instrument; the idea is a mini bass that sounds like a double bass
Comes from here with a cigar box.... It is an evolution of the idea of the cigar box with an electric bass body and structure.

ulfberth Very interesting and I’m considering something similar inspired by you.
I get the concept as: start with a guitar or bass in kind of a barytone register.
A-D conversion in real time and a good sample library.
I’ve tested recording and then converting to Midi, but lack hearing the bass notes in real time.
I got a few instruments that will do extended range. An 8-string all 4-ths drop E. A 6-string tuned all 5-ths and a Dan Electro Baritone. I like the different tunings to get me out of my muscle memory conventions. All are great, but not an upright bass sound. Also hard to learn finger independence to cover bass along with guitar register. Approach as bass with chords.
Check out Charlie Hunter and his Hybrid guitar/Bass or Bacci Leonardo. Expensive, but I'd love one.
My favorite bass is an old Check double upright. Unfortunately fingerboard warped and so cannot use upper register. Daunting fix, I can handle the mechanics, but very time consuming.
I’ve gotten very used to editing midi and so I see that as an advantage with your system. Most important - you sound great - also the jazz guitar sounds great. Thanks for sharing your passion.
