Sam the Obvious Samba
Never really did a Samba, I defer to the master Mario for this, but it was fun trying.

Joe, I don't think I can beat this groove!! You are a magnificent bassist friend!! It sounds very good with a lot of samba flavor!!

I appreciate that. I went on Youtube and researched some Sambas to get the feel. It's very repetitive, I have to learn how to inject melody into a samba groove, but it's really cool!

If you've never played a samba before, then you've obviously got it in your blood.

Thank you. I play any rhythm, I'm pretty good with making noise on the bass, this is just not a regular thing for me. Maybe I should seek out more Sambas, they're fun. I did latin groove work through Barcelona a few years ago and a couple shows in Costa Rica but moved on from it when I got home.
