Fab slab of classic blues here. I've just been asked to join a blues band here and have some work to do to get it right, so this track was a perfect opportunity to practice something that, for me, makes blues really swing: the snare shuffle.
A classic shuffle is a backbeat with the skip notes on the hi-hat. A snare shuffle is just quarter notes on the hi-hat and the snare constantly doing the shuffle instead. Listen to La Grange ...
