Took me back to the old days. Had to join this template. I am still not happy with my mixing - just doesn't sound like I am in the same room.

Yes .See what you mean .Really great what you’re playing , fits perfectly but sounds like you’re right up close front and personal and we’re more in the background.I’m no expert on mixing , only experience from playing a wind instrument here on the loops but I’ve found greater distance from the mike and a bit more reverb make it sound more like you’re in a room ( hopefully the same room ! Matter for experimentation but sounds like you’ve been doing that already so apologies , don’t want to be patronizing .Anyway thanks for joining us Patrick :W +1

PatrickDA No worries Mikey - I welcome any advice and experimenting is key. Just frustrating that I used to do it better with my 4 track! Check out an old track of mine on soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/user-354340557/dying-of-the-light
Of course I was in the same room!!

MikeyJ Much better mix there. You’ve got a pretty decent voice, have you thought of doing any vocals, the loops seems to be a bit short on singer / songwriters in my experience so far or perhaps I’m just not listening in the right places! Anyway keep practicing with the recording with digital , the Loops is a very supportive ( and forgiving ! ) place and we’re all learning :) +1

PatrickDA Nice to get a voice complement! Most unusual but gratefully recvd - thanks. +1

Good sax! Yeah ths sax is to loud and dry i could do a mix if i have a hd sax only, on thw other parts there need to be a freq cut for the sax to let trough without setting it to loud, and some reverb then it will be more in the same room... good playing! +0

PatrickDA Thanks for that. I don't have the sax track anymore but thanks for the advice. I used to do all my mixing on a 4track tape machine and got much better results. Just need to get used to digital mixing! +1
