Grab a track that you like but you don't think sounds like something you can play (stylistically). Work with it and let it dictate what you play. Fastest way to get off a plateau is to jump off...

That's basically how I work anyhow. Always willing to have a go at something new but jumping off plateau's in your eighties probably not wise. Maybe a gentle slide!
