Ernie440 not really about bass but sound in general, we played a gig in a hall once that was one of those steel quonset huts with a thick sprayed on foam insulation ... sometimes in halls there's too much echo .. in this thing .. the sound just stopped right at your speaker cabinet it seemed. It was the strangest sound sensation I every experienced and it was hard to hear what was going on. Bizarre. The closest thing I can think of for sound like that is shooting my shotgun in the woods with really heavy snow on the trees. Just dead, no volume. Poooomff! +0

SoulFingers Sounds like one of this acoustic labs that have absolutely no sound reflection. I heard people saying that they almost went crazy because it even stops your own voice. Surreal. +1
