OK, this is my first attempt at adding a solo track, but it required reloading the combined track as well?? Seems redundant. I loaded the solo track in Slot II but then nothing happened until I load the combined track again..... +1

Yes you have to upload both - the mix is the main and the separated track is the HD one... with editing a track, you can add a HD file, see https://www.wikiloops.com/knowledge/editing_a_track_you_uploaded.php
