I'm an old timer
I live in these hills
I've wandered these valleys
Worked in the mill
This is my home
These my traditions
They'll still be standing long after I'm gone
 
I thought that I knew 
All of my limitations
I stand by decisions
As I went along
Bit I tried to avoid direct stimulation
Looks like my strategy
May have been wrong
 
I read of the studies
In Johns Hopkin's Center;
I watched "Fantastic fungi" on Netflix tv
Lately I've noticed the scent of mycillium,
Complex and laden with deep mystery
 
If I talk to the mushrooms
And they talk to me
Well that's bout as crazy
As crazy can be
But what if their answer completely transcends
All logical patterns
And never pretends
To be anything other
Than helpful and kind
A gentle enhancement of body and mind
And teach us to cooperate
Build networks of associates
 
This world is connected
To the moon and the sun
Billions of galaxies
All things and none
 
Society closes the doors of perception
These little shrooms kick it open again
I'm just an old guy the wrong side of sixty
Yeah, taking a trip for the first time is risky
I've fought my battles and many I've won
And COP26should be special and fun

When the gathering, glowerin' storms
Of ideas and progressive influence form
And where the only possible future is born
In Scotland's greatest city.
Deep in the Dear Green Place
Once known as The River of The Moon
By the Lady Priests of Old Brigadoon
The city of dreams
The power of steam
The shipyard of a nation
Corrupt politicians who just never listen
Will tell us the hour has come
They'll heal the divisions and take tough decisions
While worshipping the dollar and the gun

Gather up armfuls of Nuts, seeds and kelp
Let's talk to the mushrooms and ask for some help
