Thank you very much Ivanovich! You have completed this in a wonderful way. You play a very good and strong melody and later you improvise emotionally❤️

That's an interesting comparison, Wade. Not a genre I know... Any examples you can point me at?

For some reason I'm thinking of Pharoah Sanders, but this is hardly a "wild" as most of the tracks he's on. Here's a an example that maybe kind of close:

Marvellous. I can have a Pharaoh Sanders day while tiling and grouting

Just happened. Got back from being on a boat watching the Prada cup race and was given the news. Really crappy. Had a three day gig starting this morning with my favorite NZ guitarists for a dancer's workshop that's now cancelled.

Commiserations, Wade, your band and the dancers. Shite indeed
Meanwhile... Three hours of Pharaoh and I decide he imitates John and Alice Coltrane, so I move on to Avante Garde Jazz... And a few hours later I appreciate anything goes +0

Pharoah Sanders was indeed strongly influenced by Coltrane and played (for a short while) with him. He was called "little brother" (to/by? Coltrane), and got heavily involved with "free jazz" in the 1970s.
The gig wasn't a "band" just me and the guitarist. 100% improvisation without a safety net. My favorite way to play. A Very interesting concept the leader (dancer) of the workshop was gong for: three way interaction between environment (beach/ocean, mountains/forest, and big echo caves...all within walking distance), dancers and musicians. all bouncing off each other's ideas. Hopefully will be rescheduled. +1
