I just love this bass line, but have probably ruined it by making it "mundane". Well, I had fun anyway and hopefully somebody will like it.

Hey Peer. Hopefully you're not having a lot of those mountain bike crashes! If you just listen to the bass and drums, then what I do makes it seem mundane. Wonderfully angular bass lines.

Thanks so much Cassius. Glad you like! All due to your fine drum track. Just wish I could have been more "angular" to fit the bass lines.

Thanks Charlie. A lot of credit goes to my new Alto sax that has wonderful tone and just sings.

Cheers Ivan. Check out this track without my add (maybe do your own?). The bass is wonderfully angular and I just smooth it out. Wish I could have been more angular. Could only hear this line...so that's what I played. My favorite is to just play with bass (and drums). You get that interplay thing...it's also (more/less) just those two notes with a fair bit of "spread", but makes the listener hear more than what's there, like it's a chord, but isn't.

A problem I have is devising a structure to such an open template. I like to jab my sharp elbows into a more confined space
But I'll give it a go +1

OK challenge! Take the sax HD and make up your own bass part to it. Could be fun! Could be a nightmare? No need to accept the challenge...I'm just happy you like it.

What is your definition of "mundane"? Because you a add a cool melodic contrast to the bass line that develops throughout!!! Nice playing, Wade!!!!

Thanks Dan. Give a listen to the track without the sax and you'll get how wonderfully angular and wacky the bass is. I wish I could have heard a more angular line that fit. This fits OK and works, but it's tamed a wonderfully wild tracks that I admired for that wild quality.

Thanks for acknowledging the add, but I really apologize for making your wonderful bass line seem more tame than it is. I just couldn't come up with something that fit with your fine track.

Well, sounds pretty cool to me. Some spots could have been better, yes, but who's perfect? And I'm happy to hear some sax on one of my track! Thanks for joining, Wade. :)
