David served up some music for the apocalypse, which is a nice, soft pitch for me to swing at. I've written on the subject a few times before, so the challenge is to vary it up. What flavour of the apocalypse should it be? I think I came up with "it's a long road" and them immediately thought of both Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" and Stephen King's "The Long Walk", but it was some version of the latter story that ...

Love it! Dark, apocalyptic lyrics that build upon David's swirling, vertiginous music. I love "The Road" (well, love maybe not the right word for such an intense and depressing book) and you capture that repetition and futility well in your lyrics.

I never read The Road, just saw the depressing movie. But simply using the word "road" brought it to mind and helped me bear down on an unrelenting, unforgiving post apocalyptic world. Thanks for taking a listen, Dan!
