My minds in a pinball machine,
The forces spinning me ‘round,
Will the flippers crush me,
And finally take my body down?

I ready another ball,
Prepared to launch it up the chute
The flippers wait for me,
Their hands are quiet, mute

The bells begin to screech and yell,
Ready to silence my pride
They flash in my face and blind me,
At my feeble attempt to hide

The paddles flap at me
With wings I can’t control
Should I still keep on trying
With the will that's not my own

Three more balls are waiting,
Defeat out of my hands
I've given up on trying,
Pleading mercy to their demands

Yeah, the pinball machine

The sign soon says game over,
My balls hidden in their grave
But my quarter is good tomorrow,
My energy I must save.
