I always like some grit in the Bass Sound, it doesn`t need that much overdrive like in this track, but some nice dirt does it for me most of the time mixed with some fret clank. Just my taste. I love your playing Ernie, but soundwise it`s often too clean for me. At least if it`s Blues, Rock or Metal, where I need DIRT
