Welcome to Lolly from the Fishbreath sax player. I thought this was pretty so I junked it up with some Trap style drums, then blew the horn in some spots :) Thanks Lolly! I left what I thought to be some openings. :)

Yes the Stubby is a very low baffle piece and requires the extra attention to detail but the results are worth it. Bob (Sheppard) recommended a brighter reed to me (D’addario Jazz Select #3 with an 8 tip opening) to get the most out of it. It’s already a dark enough piece without adding a dark reed. And considering the cost of the RR pieces I think it’s worth sticking to it:D

Cool. I havent tried D'addario reeds..But after your input I may have to take a look. Im using VD Javas

I’ve a sneaking suspicion the D’addario might be a tad brighter. I always found VD reeds to be a bit on the thick side. Even their brighter style reeds. Jazz Select 2 hard or 3 soft. Their strength designations are different to others. Let me know how it goes😎
