Think I'll name this new to me sax you are hearing 10th Floor, cause when I brought it home from the Fed Ex office, looked like it got tossed off a 10th Floor. Wouyldn't even play.
So I dinked with it..and honked this one out of it with DaFunky,Marc, Ernie and Xavi. Great tune guys !

Budget '49 Conn 10M...and boy..it aint pretty but the price was right. Jury is out on the $700 overhaul..but it definitely needs it

Hey, we're not playing for people who care what a horn looks like. If it's what gives you the sound you want then go for it. You can always sell the Selmers to some stupid collector and finance the rebuild (if that's what you want).
My main tenor is a bronze un-lacquered R&C. Very grubby looking (even though it's not old). Beats the hell out of the shiny shit or colector's brands. +1

WEll..I do like the $elmer tenor..it's easier to manage..but i gotta wonder what this one would be like with a good workover. Just amazes me the personalities that come with each horn.

Hey Mark! Your sound is great and the reverb you added gives a wide landscape! Your timing is great too, Fed Ex brings some risk to it on the delicate products... :)
