Strange Combo here....white man war music and NAF providing the melody ....... maybe a scene from a blood-filled battlefield? Truly conflicted here as I am a true 32% NA Indian:D

you're certainly right, a bizarre mixture! I hope I will not desecrate this wonderful instrument:|. I assume that the instruments that are made today do not have much resemblance to the historical native American flutes. Thank you very much for your valuable feedback!

I wonder if they played the NAF the way folks do these days----not tainted by western influence --- bee interested to hear what they originally sounded like.

yes, that's exactly how I feel! I'd give a lot to hear the original sound once! Carlos Nakai is a big star for many people. Maybe his way of playing this instrument is close to the original way of playing?but I am a white one and have my musical roots in Europe and so my playing style explains itself...:)
