Wonderful Dan, as you dive here with your sax in this classic piece and what sounds you entlock your instrument. In three different uses you bring the piece to shine. It sounds fantastic :)

Thank You so much, Joao!!!! I very much appreciate your very kind words my friend!!! I am not familiar with classic "Aranjuez", so I searched on YouTube and listened to several tracks of it and I believe the chord progression is very similar so to me that means I approach it to play something to fit the chord progression. I do not hear my entrance lick on the You Tube tracks but it is similar to the chord progression and I was thinking (like I always do) how Stan Getz played entrances to the classical strings on his Album "Focus") which is a Masterpiece to me. I am honored that you feel I did played something from that beautiful music.

Thank You so much, Wolfgang!!! I very much appreciate your very kind words!!! I would be honored if I drew on the the influence of Aranjuez but I am not familiar with it. I listened to several takes on YouTube and the chord progression does sound similar. I was trying to play within that structure. The more I listened to Aranjuez, it does sound very familiar so it is possible I just did not know the name. At my advanced age it would be a plus if I can draw on music I heard decades ago. I was trying to follow the style of my hero (Stan Getz) as he played with strings on his Masterpiece (to me) Album, "Focus" playing with classical strings.

Oh yeah, Stan Getz is übercool! And I'm sure that he knew Rodrigo and his music. :) And about those comments: yes, glad if I can help. You're welcome my friend! :) I have Rodrigo's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concierto_de_Aranjuez on a CD somewhere at home... :)

Thank You so much for this!!!! Rodrigo's life is Amazing and so is the History of the motivation for this composition!!! I studied classical music as a clarinet student as Accomplished as Rodrigo is, I only was taught the classics by Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, so Thank You so much for introducing Rodrigo to me!!!

I think Chick Corea uses parts of this Concierto de Aranjuez when starting to play his famous "Spain" composition - so there *is* a connection to Jazz, at least some Jazzers made use of it :) And you're welcome my friend! :)

Thank You so very much, Marc!!! I appreciate it very much!!! I am a big fan of your music and you piano skills are Incredible!!! Your tracks are so complete without a sax but I was motivated by the Beauty of this and a big factor was your invite for others to add in certain places. Thank You so very much of this music!!!!!
