I’ve been wailing all the evening
Outside calling out your name
The night is dark and teeming
With the silence is all the same

I know that you’re a rambler
Putting distance on your shoes
In life you’re but a gambler
I’ve read it in the news

Spinning dice until the mornings
When the rooster starts its crow
You say your life is boring
So you say you have to go

But I’ve been playing roulette
With my heart for far too long
Making excuses for your lies and yet

For displaying all my sorrow
On a billboard for all to see
