It's so true! I have a jazz fender bass upgraded with the top of what exists in pick up and preamp ... And yet, I feel that the sound in Slap of this Sire V7 is much better! It's incredible! It costs 2 times less expensive (three times less expensive with the options and more) than my Fender! I'm having fun with anyway! :)

The quality / price ratio is incredible, I have had a total of 5 bass Sire Bass of different setups and woods, and they all sound very good with a very comfortable mast. Why pay double or triple for sounding the same or worse? Even Marcus Miller has played with these basses in his concerts with hardly any major modifications compared to those sold, and it sounds great [youtube]8rd7_sOrNUk[/youtube]

I hope it works now! :) So I have a Sire V7 5-string body ash and maple fingerboard; a Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe MiM with a John East J-Retro Deluxe preamp and Aguilar pickups; a 6-string SM206 LTD, an Ibanez acoustic and an upgraded Subray 4 with a John East MM3 Knobs preamp and a Seymour Duncan SMB4 microphone! And I am very happy with my material! By cons, I still miss the fretless, but it's my project for 2019! ;)

Wow! What sound! And this Jazz track is just sublime! I work a lot of Jazz at the moment (besides I take jazz lessons at a music school!) And I think a fretless bass would be really ideal! :)

Awesome! Having a good ear is important when playing bass! Nevertheless, being of classical training, I do not deny the ease that gives me musical theory since my youngest age. The mixture of both (ear and theory) allowed me to progress a little faster than normal on bass! I have been playing piano since the age of 9, but I have only been a bass player for a year and a half. I really believe that a complete musician can move faster, that's why I do not hesitate to resume classes! Besides, I do not just take jazz lessons, I also take bass lessons simply! :)
