Bridge-end
I'm not entirely happy with the mix here. Rainer already had an (excellent) synth bass part and I've ended up clashing with it a bit. Also would have liked Shi's marvellous vocals up a bit. Really great track though - kudos to Rainer for his amazing arrangement and Paul's incredible drumming. And, of course, the super SHi..

Hi GrooveEnth,
this bass-add is fantastic. It is better suiting to the lively drums of pconey. You created some sweet bass melodies and a great suiting flanger bass sound. I have learned how important solo tracks are. I should have uploaded a bass minus version also. I think the best is to add bass in the beginning to introduce the idea and the harmonic direction but add a bass minus version for new or better bass ideas. +2

Thanks mate - so pleased you like it. I very much like what you do so may have a swing at a few more... especially if I can get Paul on board! :)

A fantastic bass tune - GrooveEnth. Great phrasing. And yes, Ms Shi's vocals could be up a bit here. Otherwise, it's a perfect track.

Thanks bluesdog. Maybe I'll see if I can get the individual parts and remix. The more I listen to this the more I like it myself! :)

@bluesdog + GrooveEnth: In the actual mix Shi´s should be more in front. If GrooveEnth messages my with his email I could send:Shi´s vocals alone and my synths alone. That version could include: vocals shi, drums pconey, bass grooveEnth, synths R1772, mixed by grooveEnth.Regards Rainer

Thanks Shi - love the song but the mix isn't great - your vocals are getting drowned out a bit here. I hope to do a better mix now that I have all the individual parts from Rainer and Paul :)

Actually ever since rewiring the studio I've taken to recording in stereo. The first bass track is DI'd from the bass but I put a little ring-modulator on it in Reaper to give it some buzz. Then the second channel is a flange effect from my Zoom. This way I get to rebalance between the two parts in different parts of the song as I think appropriate :) +1

Yes I like the overall sound - just a little messy with everything going on in the low end. Ah well - on the next one.... :)
